Pet Sharks

Friday August 8, 2003
As in touch sharks, not having sharks as pets. Oh never mind. In any event, the Chula Vista Nature Center's newest exhibit, Shark and Ray Experience, is a different kind of touchy-feely experience. The new exhibit includes a 4,000-gallon "touch tank" with a least five species of sharks and rays and a 17,000-gallon "free-swimming" tank with underwater and overwater viewing areas of larger sharks and rays. If you haven't been to the Chula Vista Nature Center, this is a perfect reason to go see one of San Diego's little known gems.
