Trading Spaces Designer in San Diego

Wednesday August 13, 2003
If you're an avid viewer of the popular TV program, "Trading Spaces," as I am, then I'm sure you've attached labels to the show's different designers and their styles. Vern's is classy and clean. Genevieve's is fun and bold. Laurie's is fabric. Kia's is strange and usually ugly. Hildi's is ego-centric and ridiculous. Edward's is just OK. Frank's is friendly and country.

And then there's Doug. Doug is petulant, impractical and incorrigible. Doug goes out of his way to tweak the sensibilities of the homeowners. Doug makes homeowners cry (remember the notorious "Crying Pam" episode?). In short, when Doug Wilson is on Trading Spaces, it is must-see TV. He also can be a very clever designer when he isn't trying to be all of the above. Doug Wilson will be in San Diego on Aug. 24 as part of a one-day class as he shares his design tips at The Learning Annex San Diego. Cost is $54.95 but you better sign up quickly - I'm sure the class will fill quickly with Trading Spaces fanatics.
