Friday October 31, 2003
An amazing set of time-lapse images captured the early stages of the massive Cedar Fire that has devasted San Diego County. The video was taken by UCSD research scientist Hans-Werner Braun from a camera on top of Mount Laguna. It shows the fire one frame every 10 seconds as it grew into the massive, historic inferno that has burned well over 300,000 acres and destroyed over 1,500 homes. Check out the Union-Tribune site to see this incredible video of the San Diego Wildfire develop.
