That's the sound of local gasoline prices skyrocketing and our guzzling SUVs and trucks drinking it up. Average price in San Diego County for regular fuel is $2.53 according to UCAN (Utility Consumer's Action Network). But the price is a lot higher if your vehicle only runs well with the premium grade gas (OK, I'm guilty of being one of these owners). In any case, gas prices look to go even higher: heck, it's not even Memorial Day or the summer yet. Yikes! For a list of the county's cheapest gas prices, as well as other info about gas prices, check out UCAN's excellent FuelTracker.Com site.
