41st Lakeside Rodeo Kicks Up Dust This Weekend

Boy, is this a weekend full of outdoor activities, or what? From the urban (ArtWalk) to the waterfront (Day at the Docks) to the canine (Purina Incredible Dog Challenge), there's lots happening this weekend. Lest we forget our county cowboys, this weekend is also time for the 41st Lakeside Rodeo (through Sunday, April 24). Held at the Lakeside Rodeo grounds next to El Capitan High School in Lakeside, this genuine rodeo has it all: bucking broncos, calf roping, rodeo clowns and queens, and those nasty ol' bulls. We may forget that San Diego County isn't just home to surfboards and flipflops but also to cowboys as well. And the Lakeside Rodeo is the real deal.
