Will Lightning Strike Twice? Chargers Open Training Camp This Friday, July 29

Tuesday July 26, 2005
Aiming to prove that last year's playoff season was no fluke, the San Diego Chargers open training camp (July 29) with largely the same players, but in a whole new venue: right here at home. After two years of holding training camp in Carson (an armpit of LA) - and disastrous public relations to boot - the team returns to San Diego to prepare for the season, and for the first time at Chargers Park, their training facility in Murphy Canyon (off of I-15). After a rare 12-4 winning season in 2004, questions still remain: Was last year a fluke? Was Drew Brees' MVP season a fluke? Can Antonio Gates avoid the sophomore slump? See for yourself as many practices are open to the public. Check out the official San Diego Chargers website for practice schedules and more info.
