Go Green: Fallbrook Avocado Festival, April 23

Wednesday April 19, 2006
San Diego County is the avocado capital of the U.S. Good thing, too, because I love avocados. I especially love guacamole. North County is where most of the avocado growers are situated, due to the favorable climate and terrain. And the community of Fallbrook is pretty much the center of avocado country. Sunday, April 23 is the annual Fallbrook Avocado Festival and everything about the amazing avocado will be revealed. And there will be plenty of opportunities to sample avocado-inspired dishes, as well as buy the "green gold." Lots of other activities for the family are also planned. For more info about the Fallbrook Avocado Festival, check out the official site.
