Pain at the Pump: San Diego Gas Prices Skyrocket

Friday April 21, 2006
It has become as certain as death and taxes: gas prices in San Diego will rise higher this time of year, and higher than everyone else. I filled my tank today at a local Chevron station and paid $3.31 per gallon for premium grade fuel (OK, I have a pickup truck, but nevertheless). Yikes! I truly can't remember paying this high for gas, and even regular grade in most parts of San Diego are going for $3 bucks and up. So, what can you do? Cut back on food? You have to drive to work, right? Check out UCAN's Gasoline Price Tracking Service, where they list gas stations with the best prices in the county.
