Tiger Woods Makes His 2008 Tour Debut to Defend Buick Invitational Title at Torrey Pines

It's getting repetitive, but no less anticipated: after yet another spectacular previous PGA season, where he won the inaugural FedEx Cup and was once again named Player of the Year, Tiger Woods has the golfing world's eyes on him once again as the 2008 PGA Tour gets underway. And once again, the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines is the stage. What makes this year's tournament even more intriguing is that in June, Torrey Pines plays host to the U.S. Open for the first time, so the Buick Invitational is in a unique position to actually preview how the Open will play in June. The course is already in championship shape, and golf fans will see if Tiger is already in championship shape as he once again defends his title.
