Humphrey's Concerts By The Bay 2008 Lineup Announced

Never mess with success - you could say that's the philosophy of the promoters who book the acts for the Humphrey's Concerts By The Bay summer entertainment series. Although the just-announced lineup includes some first-time appearances like Robert Plant with Alison Krauss, Feist, and Dolly Parton, the bulk of artists performing looks like deja vu all over again: Ringo Starr, Kenny G, the Doobie Brothers, Huey Lewis, Boz Scaggs, Michael McDonald, David Sanborn, Lyle Lovett, Chris Isaak, among the usual suspects. The season kicks off with comedienne Kathy Griffin on May 9.

Tickets for this year's season go on sale Saturday, May 29, at 10 a.m. at the Humphrey's box office on Shelter Island, at all Ticketmaster outlets and on Ticketmaster's Web site, ticketmaster.com, and telephone charge line, (619) 220-TIXS. There will be a first-day sales limit of 12 tickets per show, with a 10-show limit, except for Robert Plant/Alison Krauss, which has a four-ticket limit.
