5.8 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles San Diego and Southern California
Tuesday July 29, 2008
If you wanted a shake to go with your lunch, then today was the day to have it as an earthquake rattled Southern California just before noontime. The 5.8 magnitude quake hit at around 11:42 a.m. and its epicenter was around Chino Hills in San Bernardino County. The quake was felt significantly as far as Los Angeles and San Diego. I felt my own office building swaying back and forth right after I heard some windows rattling, but it lasted only a few seconds. No immediate reports of damage was reported.
