It's Holiday Bowl Time in San Diego

Saturday December 27, 2008
Holiday BowlPost Christmas holiday festivities continue here in San Diego, and one of them has become a longtime tradition. It's considered by many to be the best non-BCS bowl game in the country, and once again, this year's Pacific Life Holiday Bowl should continue its reputation as an entertaining game with the matchup of two high flying, and highly ranked, football teams.

The 2008 edition of the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl has the University of Oregon Ducks (#17) taking on the Oklahoma State University Cowboys (#13) at Qualcomm Stadium on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. The game once again is a sellout, but if you don't have tickets, you can watch it on ESPN.

And don't forget the Holiday Bowl Big Bay Balloon Parade, the free family event previewing the Holiday Bowl Game that brings together world-class marching bands, magnificent floats, entertaining drill teams, and a procession of enormous balloons - more than any other parade. Over 100,000 street-side spectators will enjoy the parade along Harbor Drive on the San Diego waterfront.
