You've probably seen Niki de Saint Phalle's public work here in San Diego, especially if you frequent Balboa Park. The Mingei Museum features a couple of her whimsical sculptures, which often sort of kind of represent animal/human characteristics, and are painted in bright colors and often utilize mosaic or mirror tiles as well. And her famous Sun God piece graces the UCSD campus. But did you know the late sculptor's last international project is a whimsical sculpture garden tucked away in Escondido's Kit Carson Park?

Thanks for letting mor epeople know about Niki’s only large sculpture garden in America. Do you know her “Garden of Tarots” in Italy? Pass it on. XD.
