With the upcoming Labor Day weekend comes our symbolic end of the summer as we wind up our vacations, head back to school and start our march towards the autumn and the holiday seasons. And Labor Day weekend is also a great time to get out and enjoy the San Diego outdoors. And the area has some great places to enjoy the water - both fresh and salt water.
You don't necessarily need to enjoy fishing to enjoy San Diego's fresh water lakes and ocean piers, because the surrounding settings are so enjoyable. Whether you're enjoying the wildlife around lakes Murray, Miramar or Cuyamaca, or enjoying the scenic coast from the OB, Crystal or IB piers, heading out to one of these local spots is a great way to wrap up the summer and enjoy where we live.
