Name:
Jack Box
Who He Is:
Jack is the fictional founder, CEO and ad spokesman for San Diego-based Jack in the Box fast-food restaurants. A former clown, Jack used to take customer orders from his position atop the company's drive-thru speaker box until he was literally blown up in a 1980 television commercial.
Why He's So Popular:
Jack was brought back from the "dead" in 1995 when he resurfaced in the Jack's Back ad campaign. The irreverent and witty commercials featuring Jack have made the campaign the longest-running in the fast-food industry. Everyone loves Jack, and each new commercial is topic for discussion.
Physical Traits:
According to Jack's California driver's license, he's 6'8" and weighs 195. And his birthday is May 16. Only the males in Jack's family tree possess the gene that results in oversized, bald heads. So, What's With The Antenna Balls?:
A true testament to Jack's popularity. Since the reintroduction of Jack, the company has sold more than 22 million antenna balls and more than 5 million other premiums bearing Jack's likeness. Besides, they're way cool.

Jack's fluent in English, Spanish and even has spoken Mandarin!
Jack ran for president in 1996 and beat out Bill Clinton, Bob Dole and Dogbert in a Virtual Vote (OK, so it wasn't a scientific Gallup Poll).

In a testament to his iconic standing, Jack's head found itself atop a Pez dispenser.
