June Gloom may be upon us, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything to do around San Diego. Here are a few suggestions you might want to try this month.
It's become one of the premier marathons in the country, and Sunday's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon (June 1) is so popular that it attracts some 20,000 runners to the event. Why, other than to test one's skill and torture one's body at the same time? Well, this marathon is unique in that it has live bands playing for the runners every mile or so - helping to keep the runners pumped and the spectators entertained. Find a point alongside the race route and cheer the runners on.
